Prevent Obesity in Children



Ouch funny child ... .. commented a mother saw a fat boy who was playing in the park. It's very cute to see children obese activity. Mainset is still attached in the minds of most people today. And not only in adults only, the children were overweight was the beginning of the emergence of various health problems.

According to WHO, one of the health problems faced by the society of the 21st century is obesity in children. They have estimated that the number of children who are overweight will be more than 42 million by the end of 2010, of which about 35 million live in developing countries.

Obesity may increase the risk of diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, cholesterol, asthma, both in adults and in children. Obesity in children most often begins when a child aged between 5 to 6 years and increase with growing up. Research shows that children who are overweight and aged between 10 to 13 years, will have a chance of 80% become obese adults. The results also showed the occurrence of obesity in children is caused by excessive intake of food (junk food), an unhealthy lifestyle and reduced physical activity in children.

As a parent certainly do not want the baby having problems especially with his health due to obesity. Some things parents can do to tackle obesity in children.

Do not get used children to eat fast food (fast food)
Pilihah water as a children's favorite drink, do not drink sweet or fizzy.
Give vegetables and fruits on the fruit of your heart.
Limit your child's activities in front of the television or computer maximum of 1 hour per day.
Make time for physical activity with their children (a walk or play ball) at least 3 times a week
